Design was always in Sara’s blood —

It just took her a
little while to realize it

Early memories of poring over her mom’s shelter magazines; convincing her grandmother to style her bed in a new way; loving art class for the opportunity to play with and meld disparate colors and elements; falling in love with her floral design electives in college; and constantly gravitating to the design and cooking section at the local bookstore seemed to be - in Sara’s mind - experiences without a common thread.

Time marched on and while Sara excelled on her decidedly left-brained path, her penchant for crafting creative experiences kept bubbling to the surface.

Marriage brought about the opportunity to craft a nest and soon multiple building and remodeling projects ensued.  Sara fell in love with the process of interior design, but it truly was the notice of various friends and acquaintances seeing her abilities and asking her to tackle their projects that finally allowed her to uncover her innate passion and skill in helping people pull together chaotic parts of a project into a cohesive whole.

Sara Crooks —

With well over a decade of experience in high-end residential design, Sara expertly guides clients through each interior design project with a high dose of creativity and big shot of logic. She thrives on collaboration with clients and trades and walking people through the blank stares of “I don’t know what to do or where to start,” to the creation of highly personalized spaces that nurture the family and provide a beautiful backdrop for life’s memories to unfold.

Sara sees the world in the tiniest of details and in her opinion, a house is far more than a collection of finishes and furniture. It is a haven...an oasis...a place to nurture. While she appreciates lovely things, she understands that our treasures are not stored up here on Earth and longs to bring glory to God, the creator of all things.

Sara lives in Oklahoma with her attorney/entrepreneur husband, Michael, her son, John Michael, twin girls, Juliet and Audrey and their British Lab, Pete. Some of her favorite things are good food - from roadside shack to high-brow gourmet; fresh flowers; fabulous candles; good music (preferably all at the same time); Napa; Topo Chico; cookbooks; Alys Beach; old school homemade chex mix with extra Lawry's; and most of all...the perfectly imperfect.
